| Welcome To "Thought of The Week" | |
"This site is designed for people who want to take action to make the most from life. It's full of great stories and thoughts to feed your brain. In addition there are links to my favourite resources (all of which I have tried and personally recommend). The stories take just 2 to 3 minutes to read or listen to (via the podcast) and there is a new one every week and it's free." David Gardner

I was searching my email box for a document and an unexpected email popped up into the search box. It was one of those emails which I’d forgotten about, one of those gems sent from a colleague, which I had cruised over on busy Monday. So I doubled clicked and back into my life the information came. The email was about a Mori poll. Mori had asked 1000’s of questions to hundreds of teams. This email highlighted that out of the 1000’s of question there were only 12 questions which high performing teams had consistently answered YES whereas the comparison set of average performers had consistently answered NO. So here are the questions
Now like me you mind is likely to be considering how to apply this to work and how it translates to your personal life. But also some of the text is in red. Now it came that way on my email and I wondered why was it in red? and what did it mean for me? The email states the red text is based on two attributes, frequency and somebody. Now there's more on a man named somebody next week. But I thought (referring to my strength finder profile) do I do what I'm best at every day, most days maybe but everyday, probable not! Secondly I thought how frequently do I recognise great contributions from my reports, my friends, my peers, my family, my boss or anyone else and actually tell them, not so often I reflected. Till next week, Enjoy the Journey
